About Me

I remember even as a child my friends were always able to confide their secrets and share their inner thoughts with me. As time went on, I have found that friends and colleagues are also able to share their private thoughts with me and request advice for difficult situations that they are faced with. It seems that the skill of empathy and understanding has always been an intrinsic part of me, along with being an old soul; who has always been drawn to spirituality as a child.

Currently, I am still invested in my spiritual path and due to this, I am able to hear what a client is saying by being able to pull out their issues from their subconscious or emotional energy, even when the client is unable to express this explicitly. In addition, the talents of being innovative and creative is what differentiates me.
My first encounter with the world of spices and Ayurveda was at the age of 10 at my grandmother’s home in Mumbai. My grandmother was an amazing cook and while I watched her lovingly play with spices to enhance their flavors in dishes that she made; she also explained the medicinal benefits of certain herbs, spices, and roots to treat every day ailments.
Most of my childhood (outside of my grandmother’s home) was influenced by science and conventional medicine (my dad was a doctor) and took me further away from the old world of home remedies and healing. However, what I did gain through working in my father’s clinic was a better understanding of the human body, medical issues that his patients had to deal with, and most importantly compassion for those who were suffering. My father had instilled in me the idea of service - just do the actions with the right intention to serve to the best of my ability.
In my mid-twenties, I moved to the US and started my career in the corporate world in the Technology and Financial sectors (investment banks) in New York city, having worked previously in India. Due to these experiences, I intrinsically understand the concerns of working women and men (single/married/divorced) in New York/U.S./India; and can relate to their inherent stresses with compassion. The setup in the western world (U.S., Europe, Canada, Australia) is different from living in Asia and both bring different issues to the fore for healing.
In 2016 due to stress, my health suffered - I gained an enormous amount of weight, became despondent, and reached my lowest point physically, mentally, and emotionally. Unfortunately, the medical doctors could not diagnose my ailment.
In a desperate attempt to find a solution, I turned to holistic health, went back to my roots, and re-connected with Ayurveda. The Ayurvedacharya [Ayurvedic doctor] was able to diagnose my health condition right away and in time healed all my imbalanced using spices, herbs, and lifestyle changes. This experience was an eye-owner for me and awakened my curiosity to learn more about holistic health.

My quest for holistic health would have been incomplete without the wisdom of spirituality that I had the honor of imbibing from an enlightened Guru (who has since left this mortal world). I gained knowledge, practical experience, and insight in my one-to-one interactions with my benevolent Guru. This is turn brought about an inner/outer transformation in me, resulting in finding joy and calm in the present moment and flowing with the Universe.

I received my training from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program where I learnt innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories including Ayurveda. Some of my teachers at Institute of Integrative Nutrition included:
-
Joshua Rosenthal, MScEd, founder and director of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition
-
Deepak Chopra, MD World Leader in Mind-Body Medicine, Director of Education at The Chopra Center.

The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda fascinated me and I undertook the 150 hours Ayurvedic Nutrition Certification Program in the time-honored science of Ayurveda under a renowned Ayurvedacharya (Ayurvedic doctor) learning about the health issues faced in the US and India. My education for practical application continued under the guidance of another renowned Ayurvedacharya and it was during this time, that I began to understand how crucial a balanced digestive Agni is for our bodies. Ayurveda tries to get to the root of the issue including the underlying factors and restores the body's natural balance so that it can heal itself.
I studied Ayurvedic Aromatherapy to supplement my insight into Ayurveda with additional details on herbs and essential oils that are known to heal common ailments. Ayurveda and Spiritual healing had introduced me to the magical world of Chakras and the significance of energy flows in the body. I pursued my desire for more knowledge by becoming certified in Chakra Healing, Reiki (Levels I and II), and Emotional Freedom Technique. I also obtained the Certification for Belief Clearing Practitioner from Dr. Joe Vitale/Dr. Steven Jones where I learnt different healing techniques including the Ho'oponopono and Nevillize techniques. One can augment a spiritual practice to gain a higher vibration through the
focus on the Violet flame and use of Crystals, so I attained my certifications in Violet Flame Healing and Crystal Therapy (Basic and Advanced).

I continued to cultivate my growing interest in spiritual healing by avidly reading the teachings of experts like Louise
Hay, Eckart Tolle, Catherine Ponder, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Panache Desai, and Nisargdatta Maharaj, along with pursuing the Achieving Oneness with the Higher Soul Course.

Drawing on my education and expertise, I offer both individual [one-on-one] and group coaching programs to clients both domestically [U.S.] and international virtually through Zoom.
